To the south of the mainland and the two large nations in the Allied Earth States lies the smallest of the three but perhaps the most strategically important. The bulk of the navy of the rebellious states is held in and around these islands and they themselves are protected by a larger garrison of troops from Omashu. These islands serve as the Allies main envoy to the Southern Water Tribe where they seek to enforce their bonds with the militants that hold their government. Together the two nations hold a large dominion over the worlds southern oceans and, though they do not threaten with outright violence, there is no open invitation to travel these waters.
