The night was dark, stars twinkling in the sky like everlasting crystals, forever suspended in space. The town was already settling down to bed, despite the deceptively early hour; on this side of the world, night came fast and swift, like a bird of prey feasting on a poor field mouse. Almost at the same time, all lights went out in the town, plunging it and the surrounding area into complete darkness, as thick and smothering as a woolen blanket. The night was uncomfortably calm, as if the world was lulling you into a false sense of security. Even the wind wasn't blowing. And as the moon rose, a man fell. This man, his cloak swirling around him as he jumped from a one-story roof, was smoking a pipe; he had white fur's on, inlaid with exotic rubies and precious metals. Strapped to his back with what seemed to be golden thread were two swords; one seemed to be a regular thin blade, yet had what seemed to be a pure emerald hilt and sheath; the other, however, was certainly unique. It was a golden color, with a hilt the in the shape of a snarling dragon. The sheath was a golden one, with red dragons intertwining and spitting fire. He also carried a blood red bow and pitch black arrows in a quiver. As the man hit the ground, he crouched, not making a single noise as a tiny bit of dust ~ poofed~ from under his foot. 'Hmph,' he though, flipping a strand of hair out of his eyes as he noticed the dust spiral up, up, and away. 'I have to work on that.' Standing straight up, he reviewed the memories of this job. There is a family that is constantly opposing me. Your task is simple; take them out, bring their heads back as proof, and ge paid a lot of money. 'How much?' he remembered asking. 'Enough to make another sword that I hear you're carrying. Looking in the window, he frowned at the apparently innocent family. He shrugged. 'Oh well ... I'm getting paid.' He started to jump through the window when a noise, caught by his ever-vigilant and sharp ears, distracted him. He quickly ducked, jumping back out through the window and grabbed his bow. Quickly nocking an arrow, his eyes piercing the darkness as easily as a hot knife through butter, he finally called out through the blackness, "Come out, come out, wherever you are!" The glee was apparent in his voice at the prospect of the upcoming fight.

Aryana was just walking through the streets. Everything seemed so quiet and peaceful, 'Maybe a little too peaceful...'she thought to herself. Although there was a certain uncomfortable air tonight, she didn't mind. She needed to have just a little time to herself, with everything that was going on in her life. For once, she had felt happy with Konji, she actually had someone to talk to. That hadn't happened ever since Kogi was brutally murdered and she had lost contact with her good friend Fujikaki. Right when things were going well, Konji and herself had to go their separate ways...~sighs~.
As she thought about her old friends, her hand idly went up to her throat and touched the two necklaces that she never took off: The necklace with a single teardrop on it, that was all that she had left from her deceased fiance, Kogi, and the choker necklace that was given to her by her dear friend Fuji, in return, she had given him a necklace as well. Both necklaces had the same symbol on them, therefore they could always remember each other. With another deep sigh she thought to herself..'I don't have anything to remind me of Konji...but i WILL see him again...I have to..'
As her Mind wandered, she found herself gliding slowly through the streets on this eerie, star-filled night. Occasionally she'd look up and just lose herself in the beauty of the twinkling heavens above. As all the lights went out around her, she couldn't help but sense a strange occurrence. The wind was not blowing tonight, which only added to the uncomfortable feel of the already silent night. Only one thing snapped Aryana out of this trance..and that was the shape of a man landing on the ground a while in front of her.
She was suddenly grateful that she had worn a dark onyx colored shirt and her black training shorts, she had a couple weapons on her, including her sword. Aryana was trained in following her 'prey' untraced, it's one of the things that she had learned while training with the Execution squad. She pulled up a black mask that covered the bottom half of her face, it wasn't her e-squad mask but it came in handy at times like this. So with her hair up in a braid and everything into place, she slipped up and climbed to the top of a rooftop, quickly, quietly and as deadly as ever.
Her eyes locked onto the shape of the man, she saw him start to slide through the open window. As she moved just slightly to adjust herself for a better view, she hadn't realized that there was a loose board under her foot...~creek~ She froze instantly.. 'UGH! God damn it! Way to go Aryana!' she mentally screamed at herself. She saw as the man turned to search the night for the noise and jumped back out the window: "Come out, come out, wherever you are!"
She couldn't help but smirk slightly at the apparent glee in his voice. 'Hmm..this..could be fun..plus, I've been dying to test out my new weapons..' she paused slightly..'alright..so be it.' With a slight chuckle, she gracefully leaped into the night and landed behind him without a noise, face still covered and eyes glowing blue against the black night. As she landed, without a single noise, she took out was seemed to be like two normal stick, and within 2 seconds she transformed them into double side ice blade swords, as sharp as steel. She straightened herself up slowly and called out calmly, weapons in hand: "You called?"

A small noise behind him alerted Izuki to the strangers presence; unsheathing his blade as fast as lightning, he spun, pointing it at the females neck. His eyes flicking downwards towards the weapon in the girls hands, the double bladed weapon gleaming like melting ice, he grinned. Back flipping, he shot an arrow towards the girl. Landing in a small patch of dust, he followed up with another arrow, letting loose one after another.
His two fingers bleeding, he put his bow back into his quiver and unsheathed his emerald blade once again. Getting in a battle stance, he said, "Bring it on." Noticing the necklace around her neck as water-tribe make, he frowned, a faint memory tugging at his mind. Shaking it off, he growled, saying, "So ... you're from the water tribe, huh? So am I. Mind telling me where?" He was less than polite about it, and extremely direct. Suddenly, the memory burst forth.
His eyes widened and his mouth dropped as he remembered the necklace; his eyes narrowed and his mouth formed a thin line as he remembered Aryana, and the necklace he gave her before he departed, the memory haunting at his tortured soul. Growling loudly, he menacingly asked, "Where did you get that necklace? I know that necklace, and I ...." He stopped and swallowed. "I knew who owned that necklace. You're lucky ... no one alive has seen 'Dragon's Death' ... at least, none alive." He switched his emerald blade down to his left hand, and unsheathes his dragon-shaped sword; grasping the hilt, he pulled, showing a blade that was glory in it's conception. A blade, with two separate blades layered on it shaped like a snarling dragon, even with only the dim lights from the sparse stars and moon made it glow with perfection. The golden color was perfect, almost like pure gold.
Grinning with demonic pleasure, he got in a battle-ready stance. Charging forward, flames in his eyes and determination in his heart, he moved almost faster than the eyes could follow. "Tell me where you got that necklace, or prepare to die!"

Aryana stood there prepared. She knew that this man was going to fight her, she sensed that in his movements. Her suspicions were justified when he pointed his sword at her neck, her arms tensed and she was ready to attack, when he back flipped and started shooting arrows at her. ~hmph~ She was able to sidestep the first arrow, the other one was coming at her fast, with a slight smirk, she swung one of her double edge sword in front of her in a circular motion creating what looked like a fan and turned into a shield. As soon as the arrow his the shield and fell to the ground, it turned back into her double-bladed sword.
She laughed slightly: "Hmm, arrows? Nice try.". It seemed that the man had given up on the arrow technique and took out his sword again. She couldn't help but chuckle slightly at his next phrase. "Ok, I'll bring it on, but just remember, you asked for it." With that she charged forward with such a speed that it looked like she simply vanished, jumped up above him and came down with a downward slash. She was right on target until something caught her eyes and made her sidestep her move just slightly, she flipped and stood right in front of him. '...that necklace..'
The next words uttered from his mouth also caught her attention. It wasn't so much the words that caught her attention, there was a certain edge to his voice. " Yes, i am from the water tribe but i am not obliged to tell you any more and frankly with that tone of yours, I'm not sure i want to." There was something familiar about this man, but she shook that feeling away. All she was focused on was one thing, and that thought kept running through her mind..'...that necklace...how did he get Fuji's necklace...'. She remembered back to the events that happened earlier, this man was an assasin..and it's possible that he could've murdered Fuji, this thought angered her.
If that wasn't enough, he continued the interrogation. "I tell you where i got my necklace when you tell me where you got yours..i know that necklace...i know it..how did you get a hold of it!" her anger was apparent in her voice. She saw as he got out another weapon, another sword, with a goldish hint. She wasn't afraid. Her scowl hidden behind her mask but as her anger grew, so did the blades on her swords. Then he charged at her, she didn't care, she charged him head on. "Oh believe me dieing is not in my vocabulary, if i were you, I'd worry about my own life!"

Konji stepped outside of the bar he had been working at as a guard. Pausing to collect the money from his employer, he nodded goodbye and strode away. He was pleased with how it had been such an easy job, yet the pay he had received for it was extraordinarily high. 'I got lucky.' He thought, knowing full well that he'd been payed triple the amount it had said on the flyer. 'Had the owner not liked me so much, I would not have gotten all of this...it is too bad it was only for one day.'
Shrugging and not willing to turn around and push for another day, lest it hurt his pay, he continued down the street to the small inn he had been staying at; like most he payed for, it was the cheapest in the town, and by this point, most likely full of drunken annoyances. His amber eyes swept around the street as he walked, checking to make sure he wasn't being followed; his many experiences of being attacked at night had made him uneasy and paranoid.
Turning a corner, he paused in mid-step as he heard voices...and they didn't sound happy. Taking a step back so his body was hidden by the wall next to him, he peered around the corner at what seemed to be two individuals, both carrying weapons of some sort. 'Great...just what I needed.' He thought, mild annoyance entering his mind; the road they were standing on was the only one he could take to get to the inn.
As he contemplated what his next step, he listened to their words, watching as the two fought. As they charged at each other, a sudden thought came to mind. 'Hmmm...it is a reckless move, but if their attention is completely toward each other, I may be able to do it...but there is a small chance that it will work.' He stood there for a few seconds, arguing with himself, hating that his only option was this or wait it out. Making up his mind, he slowly began to creep on the far side of the street, hoping the shadows hid him well enough to not be seen. 'Please...let this work.'
