Aryana stood and looked at the man in front of her. 'Damn it..i cant believe I'm doing this..' She sighed, " That is a conditional yes." She paused for a second, "I will only tolerate a little arrogance, and ONLY for now, If you annoy me, i swear..it'll be over." She turned the claw that she broke off into water and let it drop to her feet.
She crossed her arms over his chest and watched as he concentrated more on the water this time, looking at the newly formed claws. 'He has potential..' She just nodded. "Very good. Let's see if these work." She walked up closer to him and looked up at him, dropping her arms to her side. "Here comes the test of how sharp they are..slash them at me, if they break skin, then they work. Next lesson is healing." She said with a smirk.

Finally she said yes. Even if it was a conditional yes, a yes is a yes. And he knew that he wouldn't let her down. Excitement flowed through his body. He wanted to say something smirky and arrogant, but he held himself back. Already learning how to restrain arrogance. Sweet. She came up and tested Koi's claws once more. Since he had focused more on keeping them dense and hard, they didn't break when she tapped them. Perfect. He's learning. They were also equally as long and sharp as they were the last time.
She wanted him to slash at her. Why would he hurt his master? That is not what an apprentice is suppose to do, not how he's suppose to learn. But he wasn't going to disobey his master either; that is even more wrong. "Are you sure? It's going to hurt. And I've never healed before?" The look on her face only answered his questions. Well ok then. He took a step away from her to give his arm some room to swing. And with one swift movement he ran his claws through the skin of his master. There were now four deep lacerations on Aryana's left shoulder. They looked slightly deeper then he had anticipated. Hopefully he didn't hurt her to bad. "Now What?

She nodded and waited for him to follow her order. Although the fact that he hesitated didn't really surprise her in the slightest bit. It was a rather strange request, but the only way he will learn. After a couple of minutes hesitating, he finally listened and stepped back. 'Alright here goes..' she was pretty good at dealing with pain and doesn't really show how much she's hurt...most of the time.
Then..he slashed her shoulder and the pain jolted through, not only her shoulder, but her entire left side, making her wince. "Good job with the injury..now you will learn to heal..." She tried to conceal the pain.."SHIT! THAT HURT! COULDN'T YOU BEEN A LITTLE MORE GE--..." It was time to compose herself, looking at the four deep lacerations in her shoulder. "Ok..now for the healing..pay attention." She bended some water up with her right hand then twirled it around in her palm until it glowed slightly. "You focus all your positive energy into the water on your palm and gently place it on the wound." She lifted her hand slowly to her shoulder as the wound started to glow at the touch of the water. "Now..its your turn..put your hand over mine and control the water, once you've got it, I'll remove my hand and let you do it. Focus."

Aryana felt the full extent of the blow he had just inflicted upon her. He didn't mean to cause that much damage, but what's done is done. She flinched for a short second to catch her breathe and overcome the pain. Koi could tell he had done to much, and was sort of expecting his first scolding from his new master, but Aryana was able to pull herself together, Koi thought. She bended some water up from the icey ground and spun it in a circle over hand at a very fast speed.
The general idea was to focus as much positive energy into the water as he could, but Koi had never considered tampering with the natural energy in the body when practicing; other then the limited amount actually used for fighting. The way Aryana looked when bending her energy into the water, and even keeping her focus while placing the water, and healing the wound made it looked almost impossibly difficult. Koi had never been good at controlling emotions. And if he can't control his emotions, how is he going to control the even more complex energy him.
He also wondered why exactly he would need to know how to heal while fighting. That has always been the job of the girls in the battles he's participated in. He contemplated speaking out and asking this, but he knew from experiences that questioning his master, even in the most unorthodoxed lessons, is just rude.
She instructed him to take the water the spinning water in her hands. So he placed is hand over Aryana's and took control of the water. Koi assumed that all the positive energy that Aryana put into it would be gone, so he tried to focus his own energy. For the first time.
He could feel something going on. Like the synapses in his nerves were full of life. He tried to extend the energy that he got to his hand into the water spinning above his hand. For a quick second it looked like the water was glowing, but it dimmed right back down. He tried again. And then again, until he finally sustained glowing halo of water above his hand. "That wasn't as hard as I expected. But I doubt I'll be able to keep much focus when I put the water on your wound."
He tried anyway. After all, he had to. The water stayed glowing, and he could actually feel Aryana when he put the water on her wound. When the water covered the entire scratch it seemed to glow a lot brighter. And at this point it was almost like Koi was the healing wound. Like he was forcibly making the wound heal. Like a person pushing a bolder.
It worked. He had done it. Koi knew at that second that Aryana was the trainer for him. She taught so well, and everything worked out perfectly. It would be tragic to lose her. "Wow! It worked! You're healing! That is so cool. I can't believe I can actually do it!"
