Leeteuk
Basic Info
Name: Leeteuk Park
Age; date of birth: 14; March 17, 418 A.W.
Gender: Male
Bending Element: None.
Bending/Non-Bending Level: Beginner Archer
Alias: Teukie
Appearance
Hair color: Blonde
Eye color: Storm grey
Height: 6’1
Weight: 170
Appearance: In a land of dark hair, Leeteuk is little like other boys his age. His sandy blonde hair, combined with his somewhat unusual storm grey eyes, makes him easily recognizable no matter where he goes. His hair is shoulder-length and generally cut in a shaggy-layered style. He keeps it parted in such a manner that prevents it from falling across his line of sight. As if he needed to be further distinguished from those around him, Leeteuk is tall for his 14 years. He already towers over the other boys in the Upper Ring, standing at an impressive 6‘1. Though quite tall already - and still gaining height -Leeteuk’s not buff. His muscles are highly toned and well-defined, since he keeps in shape mostly through swimming. But they certainly aren’t the muscles of an Earthbender. Recently, though, he has taken up archery as another exercise regimen. Usually, Leeteuk wears a simple tunic made of light green material with narrow gold trim. It’s fairly loose, but doesn’t make him seem larger than he is. His pants are equally plain, being of a slightly darker shade of green and lacking in trimmings or patterns.

Overall Personality:Despite the tendency of his father's family to be rough, even violent, Leeteuk takes after his mother. He is a gentle boy, never intentionally causing others harm. If he’s being criticized or yelled at, he never fights back. A pacifist to his core, he would rather be beaten to a bloody pulp than raise a hand against another. He's the sort of person who would cry with you, even if he has no idea why you're crying. Overly empathetic, he's also incredibly sensitive and often feels inadequate. His father constantly tears him down, never having a kind word for his son. As a result, Leeteuk spends as much time as possible away from his home. Because of his passive, friendly air, he makes friends fairly easily, particularly with girls. However, he likes to spend most of his time with his best friend Dong-hae Kim. They've been inseparable since early childhood, one of Leeteuk's few truly healthy relationships.
History Info
Home Country: Earth Kingdom
siblings: None
history:Leeteuk has known little love since his birth 14 years ago. His father Kwan is a minor government official while his mother Kyung Mi is the daughter of an Earth Kingdom general. For the first 5 years of his life, he was treated relatively well. Kwan hadn’t begun drinking yet and the gentle Kyung Mi greatly influenced the man’s harsh moods and rough attitude. All that changed in the summer of Leeteuk’s fifth year. While staying at their summer home nestled in the southern half of Chameleon Bay, Kyung Mi became gravely ill. Her pregnancy with Leeteuk had been a difficult one and she had never quite recovered from giving birth to him. In the end, she succumbed to her illness and died before a physician could arrive to treat her.
Kwan, already not fond of Leeteuk because of his unusual hair and eyes, soon lost any attachment he might have had to the boy. Kwan had always suspected that Leeteuk wasn’t his, despite the fact his own father had Leeteuk’s eyes and his maternal grandmother shared his hair. But without Kyung Mi there to defend her son, Leeteuk’s life soon took a sharp downturn. Before marrying Kyung Mi, Kwan had been a rather heavy drinker. After her death, he took up the habit once more. More often than not, he would return home blackout drunk. And if he decided he didn’t like what he returned to - and he rarely did - it was Leeteuk’s fault. At first, he would simply shout at the boy, using all manner of obscenities to degrade him. By the time Leeteuk was 9, this had escalated to regular beatings. Since Leeteuk doesn’t bruise easily, there is rarely evidence of his father’s abuse. To this day, the only person who knows about it - other than the family servants - is Dong-hae, who has been sworn to secrecy.
Out of a desire to avoid these confrontation, the young “Teukie,” as his classmates call him, began spending as much time out of the house as possible. A person looking for him would never go to his house first. They’d have better luck in the parks around the Upper Ring or the pools and bathhouses. Nature holds a special place in his heart because his mother loved it. A gardener, Kyung Mi instilled this same love in Leeteuk before her death. Coupled with his gentle nature, Leeteuk often finds himself surrounded by all manner of creatures that would otherwise avoid human contact. This total trust and unquestioning affection has helped Leeteuk many times over the years when he felt he could no longer endure his father’s treatment or the derisive insults of his paternal family. From this stems his passion for swimming. In the somewhat mindless exertion of swimming, the rest of the world seems to fade away. He was a natural swimmer from the start and loves the feeling of weightlessness.
The other determining factor in Leeteuk’s continued existence comes in the form of best and only male friend, Dong-hae Kim. Dong-hae is the son of a more prominent official and three years older than Leeteuk. Despite the age and societal gap, the two boys practically grew up together and have been inseparable since they first met in school. As one of the few decent male figures in Leeteuk’s life, Dong-hae serves as both a friend, confidant, and semi-father figure to the younger boy. Leeteuk would do anything to make Dong-hae happy and is extremely possessive of the older male. His admiration for Dong-hae has recently led to Leeteuk's newest hobby - archery. And while he is still the focus of his father's frustrations and fury, Leeteuk manages to live through each day and maintains an optimistic view of where his life will go from here.
Other Stuffs
Leeteuk is homosexual. While his friend Dong-hae is something of a flirt with the ladies and constantly talking about girls he’s infatuated with, Leeteuk has never expressed any interest in the opposite gender. His only infatuation is with Dong-hae, though he knows it will never amount to more than friendship. For now, he's content with that.[/size]
