On the southern peninsula of The Burning Legion lies an area of Rockslide Canyon which is the only true form of forest on the mainland. A series of woods that have been raped time and again by the fires of industry and stoked by the Fire Nation to produce their war machines is blackened at the outer ring of trees due to the use of Firebending to bring them down. Devoid of life the trees stand silent and whisper circulate throughout the lands, calling them haunted as many people wander into them and are never seen again. At times it is said that the tortured screams of those restless spirits who haunt this forsaken ground can be heard for miles as they are carried on the wind, but this could be nothing more than local superstition.
