Ba-Sing-Se, the inclaimable city with its impenetrable walls that makes its size rivaling that of the entire North or South Pole. It stands at, what is now, the heart of the Earth Kingdom, where a great number of forces lay behind the walls to defend it. Citizens live their lives much as they always have, feeling safe and secure behind the great wall, despite the large amount of turmoil that has engulfed their country. The Earth King, from his throne, commands his army and prays that no more ill favor falls from the skies into his lap. The city, in its massive sprawling complex, is policed by the Dai Li, who is headed by the voluptuous and incredibly dangerous Siin Nene. Many fear her influence over the sect of benders and some wonder just how far her control has spread. Others are thankful for her continued vigilance to protect them. Regardless of the feelings of the people, the city remains a symbol of Earth Kingdom's will and power; defying the rebels to take it from them, daring the Spirit Rift to engulf it. Ba-Sing-Se stands proud and unafraid as its country falls down around it, waiting for the fight to come to its walls once again.
