It had been about five minutes since the man spilled his tea, and as he was cleaning up, Jia could feel the man's eyes on her back. It was annoying the fuck out of her. She didn't understand why he was here of all places. The Northern Water Tribe was HUGE! She sighed and tried to ignore that urging feeling to turn around and snap at him. She wouldn't make a scene; not now at least.
She watched as the waiter, who she told to give the bill to the man, walked passed her and she couldn't help herself but to snicker. Okay, so this was the moment she HAD to take a glance back. She had to see his face for this one. He was going to be pissed. He wouldn't make a scene in this little tea shop again, would he? She doubted it. She giggled softly and turned her head around to glance over her shoulder at the man.
He was looking at the waiter, and not paying attention to her. He didn't notice that she was paying attention to him, thank God. She watched as his semi-serene expression turned to anger as he looked at the bill in his hand. She turned her head back around and giggled, but trying to keep the sound snuffed. She didn't want to be heard by him, and she definitely didn't want him to think that she had gained the satisfaction from this. She would just remain...rather emotionless.
Something she didn't see coming though was that he was going to actually walk up to her. She was sure he was going to yell at her, which would only make her seem the innocent bystander. Oh, that would be great; especially if he were kicked out of the teashop for making such a fuss. She 'didn't do anything wrong to this angry man'.
She wanted to laugh, but kept her face still. Once again, she couldn't show him that she was satisfied. She kept her face forward, acting as if she didn't care he sat down. Which, truthfully, she didn't. Not all that much. Only a little. Maybe more than a little? Oh, who knows.
The man caught her by surprise, introducing himself in such a calm tone. Well, that wasn't any fun. He said something about it being a surprise they met here again. She just smirked and laughed sarcastically.
"Are you sure it was a coincidence? Not following me? You seemed to do a lot of that before. Couldn't shake you off. Just like a little lost puppy."
She took a small sip of the tea in her hands, and she purposely avoided his gaze. She could feel that it was driving him crazy, which was all she cared about. She kept the smile from appearing on her face, keeping up her solemn facade. Oh, this should be fun.
