It was early morning in the northern seas. Koi had just woken up from a great night of sleep on his very untidy boat. He had never been to the Northern Water Tribes before and was very excited to see how things were up here. The morning was very cold, there were very few clouds in the sky, and as Koi approached the city many icebergs began to pop up. He had been letting the sails guide his way all night, but as he approached the Northern Water Tribe he let bending take over the boat. Not for speed, but so that he can maneuver the boat around the many icebergs. As the city came into view Koi could see the awesome ice wall that surrounds the front of the city. The wall was completely white and there was a giant water bender insignia on the front of it. When the boat entered the wall Koi had to lower the sail so that it didn't interfere with the intricate system set up by the water benders to get threw the wall. When he entered the city, the streets were made completely of water, so he could use his boat to move through the city.
Koi wandered the city streets in his boat for a while before he finally docked to go into a local tea shop. Koi was interested in the traditional tea of the Northern Water Tribe. He order the generic cup and sat down at one of the seats. He drank his tea and gazed at the architecture of the building he was in, as well as the design and the people in the shop. Out of literally nowhere Koi was punched in the cheek bone. As the blow hit him he stumbled over off the chair completely startled. As he stood up to face his attacker he drew his dagger off of his thy and faced his attacker.

Jia Daiyu was in the Northern Water Tribe. How she got there, she was unaware. The last thing she remembered was sneaking onto a cargo boat in the Burning Legion. It was the only way she was going to get around with her scarce money. She figured that the cargo boat was going to take her somewhere within the Burning Legion, but this fact was, obviously, false.
She looked at the cargo boat, that didn't seem to be leaving anytime soon, back to the rather large city that was standing in front of. It was already too late to leave. The city was in the middle of the ocean, and she was already inside of the city. She sighed as she tried to collect her thoughts.
She didn't want to be here. Bad memories of her childhood. Of course, no one would recognize her after so many years, so that wasn't something she was worried about. But just being there was enough to bring back the memories that she, for so long, supressed within herself. The chill of the snow, even after so many years, didn't affect her much. She wasn't in a dire need for a jacket, but she fished inside her large pack anyways.
Jia was wearing a pretty light outfit, which would look kind of strange out here. She didn't want to stick out. If she did, people might take a closer look, and if someone recognized her, well...that wasn't something she was about to let happen. She pulled a small jacket out of her pack and threw it over her shoulders. The colors of her outfit didn't stand out like a normal traveler's, as most of her clothes consisted of the average Water Tribe colors. How convenient.
She decided to wander the streets of the city, since she had to wait for the cargo boat to leave. She would check back here later. Her guess is that it would be here for a while anyways. She could barely remember the layout of the city, but she tried. She remembered a few of her favorite spots that her mother would take her to as a small child. The reminscing thought made her smile; a smile that was rarely seen on Jia's face. Her mother had always made her so happy, and she wished she was here now, with her.
That beautiful smile that had suddenly appeared, had faded in just that amount of time. Her father. There was no doubt that he was either dead, or gone from this city after what he had done. The tribe wasn't stupid. They would obviously have exiled him. But at that moment, it truly hit her. This was the place her mother was killed. She couldn't stand the pain building inside of her. She wanted out of the snow, and fast. She found the nearest building, and she walked in.
Turns out, it was a tea shop. A very small, and quaint one. The aroma radiating from the tea would, on any other day, soothe her. But the thoughts of her father made her so angry. And that's when she saw him. The man sitting at the counter of the shop. Oh, he seemed like the perfect person to throw her anger at. His outer features showed that he was weak. She could definitely take him, just as she could take any other man that got in her way.
With no hesitation, she walked up to him and punched him. Not with all her might, but she punched him quite hard; enough to make her knuckles hurt. He drew his dragger, she drew hers. She was up for a good fight. Hadn't been in one for a little while, which just wasn't like her. Oh, if only her dad could see her now. Someday, he may.

Koi wasn't interested in stabbing anybody on his first day in the Northern Water Tribe, nor was he in the mood to fight with anybody. When Koi looked up to face his attacker he was shocked to see a girl in front of him, let alone a girl who also drew a dagger to counter him. Koi was not going to fight her, yet he did not lower his dagger immediately for precautionary reasons. Though to avoid fighting he had to begin some sort of verbal exchange, so she doesn't pound his face into the ground.
The entire shop stood completely silent. The other customers and workers looked startled at the loud noise of her fist hitting Koi's face and Koi hitting the ground with his chair following right after. Yet they also stood silent wanting to see what would happen next. The only other noise in the room was the owner stumbling over a counter top and a few pots and pans to try and see what the commotion was in the front of the store. Koi finally broke the remaining silence in the room: "What the fuck was that, bitch." Not exactly the ideal way to avoid a fight. Koi stood still ready for whatever unpredictable thing will happen next.

Jia Daiyu heard that words that this man spoke. Not only did she giggle, but she started laughing quite loudly. The sight of his shocked face was just enough to make her chuckle. She was over her anger. This sight was just too funny to her.
Laughing had always made her feel better, and she was glad it had steered her mind away from the horrible memories, even just for the moment. She put away the knife in the small case that was against her waist. She looked back at the man, still on the ground. He was still holding up that knife, although there was no point. She was unarmed, and she did not feel like fighting anymore now that the anger had subsided. Her eyes began to tear from her laughter, and as she raised her arm to wipe the sides of her eyes, her laughter ceased.
She was bored of this. Now that her anger had once again become suppressed, she just wanted to leave the city. She never wanted to come back. She turned around, ready to leave the tea shop. She had to check back to the boat anyways, to make sure it hadn't left her. The absence hadn't been too long, so there was very little chance that it left.
She turned her back to the man, about to leave the shop. She hesitated shortly and then turned back around to face him. She looked at the pathetic man on the floor, and gave him a sneering glance. She decided to answer his lingering question. "Oh, nothing." She gave him a quick, teasing smile, and she walked out of the tea shop.
[[Sorry; this post kinda sucks. I didn't have much to work with, and it's all your fault. xD]]

Koi laid there on the floor. Not only was he astonished that such a bitch could even exist, but the fact that she was laughing at him was just that much more infuriating. She had withdrawn her dagger and seemed satisfied with what she had done. But this made Koi so pissed off he couldn't sit back and let her walk away.
The rest of the Tea Shop was still quiet. Some people began to lose interest because the attacker began to walk off, they thought the confrontation was over. Before turning the corner out of the Tea Shop she turned back and answered Koi's question. "Oh, nothing." Oh Nothing! She just punched me to the ground and all she says is oh nothing? Koi stood up as the girl dissapeared around the corner. Koi was not so much trying to avoid a fight anymore as he was trying to justify why she would do this to him. Koi stood up, brushed himself off, Sheathed his dagger and walked out of the Tea Shop after her.
There was many people on the side walks of the river streets. Koi's boat still docked in the front of the Tea Shop undisturbed. He scanned the crowded sidewalk and quickly located the girl again. He started walking down again, down the sidewalk after her. "Hey! I'm not done with you!" As he walked down the busy sidewalk there was no response from her, obviously this bitch was ignoring him, and Koi wasn't going to stand for it. Fuck it. Koi jumped into the water of the streets and before he hit the water, he bended a small wave for him to travel down the street on. When He caught up and passed the girl he jumped off the wave and on to the sidewalk facing the girl. "Hey! I said I wasn't done with you."

She heard him emerge from the tea shop shortly after she had, but she was already walking along. There were too many people for him to pick her out of the crowd anyways. But then she heard his voice. "Ugh. Can't he just leave me alone?", she thought. She quickened her pace, hoping to lose him. She was tired of this confrontation, and just wanted to leave this goddamn city.
She ceased to hear his voice, and she thought it was finally over. She sighed with relief, knowing that he was going to give up sooner or later. She began to walk at her normal pace back towards the boat. She heard the sound of water, and the sound gradually got louder. She turned her head, only a little shocked by what she saw. A waterbender in the Water Nation. How surprising.
He jumped off the wave and in front of her. She impatiently placed her hands on her hips, wishing he would move. She tried to walk around him, but the rush of people wouldn't let her through. She tapped her foot and looked up at the man. This time, she got a better look at him. He was obviously tall, and he wasn't AS weak as she thought him to be. Although, he still was weak.
She sighed, and decided to do what he did. It was very attention-grabbing, even in the Water Nation, but she didn't want to stand here any longer. If the boat left, she would most definitely be fucked.
She casually walked off the side of the ice-paved streets, and into the water. Underneath her, she froze a small layer of the water into a medium-sized square, so she could ride upon it. Under the ice, she waterbended a wave to launch herself forward.
Before she started moving though, she looked back up at the man and smirked. "Yeah, I don't care. I need to go. Byebye." She gave him a quick wave and a wink; and like that, she raced off, willing the water to push her forward at a quick pace while she kept her still stance on the ice. If she wasn't used to this, she would have slipped off. Thank God for the years of practice maneuvering around.

The girl's response to Koi was less then satisfactory to ease his anger. She simply sat there for a brief moment with her hands on her hips and then she quickly fled the same way that he had caught up to her: a wave in the water streets. "Fuck you coward!" He said as the girl disappeared down the street. Koi was not satisfied with the end to this confrontation, he wanted justice so bad, but he wasn't about to make to big of a scene in the middle of the streets. So he let her go and another unresolved conflict fell into Koi's conscious.
Koi turned around and walked back into the Tea Shop. for the most part the tea shop had returned back to normal, somebody had picked up his chair and everybody was enjoying their tea. Koi sat back down in his chair to his tea that was still sitting there. While finishing his tea he tried to forget about what had happened, though the adrenalin from the confrontation was subsiding and he was realizing the full extent of his injuries. This is going to leave a bruise. Quickly, he finished up his drink and left the shop to his boat. He got into his boat, and before taking off down the street he went down to the lower deck to assess his injury a bit better. Down the ladder, into the bottom deck, and to the cracked mirror on the floor he went. He looked in the mirror and saw where the girl had hit him. A girl did that? Damn.
He quickly put the mirror down and undocked the boat, he did not want to see the bruise any longer, it just pissed him off more. For the rest of the day he traveled up and down different streets of the Norther Water Tribe studying the architecture of the city and observing the way daily life ran. He also sailed by any interesting site-seeing places he could find. Koi was very interested in understanding how the Northern Water Tribe worked. He has always been interested in anything like this, but he should special interest in the Northern Water Tribe because this was the sister tribe to the south, and he wanted to understand the history and customs of his own kind better.
The last place he came to that day was the wall surrounding the city. When Koi entered the city he did not take much time to look at the wall, he was more interested in finding a place to go to before exploring the city. Koi docked in one of the only docks open near the wall, since this was where all of the trade ships docked at from around the world, it wasn't always easy to find a good spot to dock, but Koi did. Almost every dock had been filled, some had just arrived, some have been there for about a day, and a few about to leave. Koi was just walking down the dock studying the different boats from around the world and the wall, when his eyes fell upon a familiar face. It was that bitch again. Maybe Koi could get another chance at getting some justification out of her, as she had left quite the knarly bruise on Koi's face. The girl did not see Koi, but she looked like she was in a hurry still. It looked like she was trying to hitch a ride on a fire nation boat that was getting ready to leave. Maybe I could intercept her before she gets on the boat, and make her miss it He thought as he approached the girl. Just before the boat lay-way the anchor, and just before the girl took the last chance to get on the boat, Koi stepped right between the girl and the boat. Interrupting her plans, and letting the boat sail off water bender free. "What do we have here. Where do you think you're going, bitch."

Jia, whence realizing the man was no longer following her, jumped back onto the ice-paved streets. She fixed her wind-blown hair and situated herself back to solid ground. It was always a strange feeling. Sort of like walking in high heels. Oh god, how she hated high heels.
She was in a great mood; or at least, now she was. Venting her anger was definitely the right thing to do. She definitely had a skip in her step, now that she knew she was going to leave the Northern Water Tribe, hoping never to return. Memories suddenly rushed back, but she shrugged them off. Nothing was going to ruin this mood for her. Otherwise, she'd have to go back and kick that man's ass again. She sighed happily, reminiscing on the fear in his eyes once she had hit him.
She returned to the boats, only to find out it would be anothe hour or so before they left dock. She shrugged and decided to look around the market near the dock. There was nothing wrong with that. An hour, and she would finally be rid of this place. Only problem was: she was a very impatient person. No matter how much she tried to forget the passing time, it seemed to pass slower and slower.
But then, it was finally time. She heard the familiar sound of the boat's engine roaring to life. It wasn't too far away, and she would definitely be able to make it before they left dock, but just barely. She jogged slowly to the boat, smiling at the chance of leaving this place. In her head, she imagined the look of the wall from the OUTSIDE of the city. Oh, so beautiful.
She got lost in the image and didn't notice the approaching man. Him to be specific. The man from earlier; the annoying one. Well, of couse, right when the boat was about to leave dock, and she was about to jump on, he stood in her way. Of ALL TIMES, he had stand in her way right now. This man had gotten on her last nerve.
She watched the boat sail away behind the man's back. She thought she was going to break out in tears, but not now; not in front of this man. She looked up at him angrily. Through her clenched teeth, trying to control her emotions, she yelled with a rushed tone, "...why the FUCK would you do that?! Do you have any common sense at all?! I understand you're pissed, but do you realize that if you had let me on that boat, you would never have had to see me again?! You fucking stupid prick! I hope you burn in hell!"
She rushed forward, hitting his shoulder with her own. She didn't want to let him see her cry. She never left anyone ever see her emotions, and she wasn't about to start now. She felt the tears rushing down her cheeks already. This wasn't a large city; she could get her revenge at a different time.
What broke her heart was that she was stuck in this city for who knows how long. It's not like the Burning Legion and the Northern Water Tribe were close together. Who knows when the next cargo ship would be sent.
She ran behind a building, hiding from the crowds of people, and the man. He wouldn't have followed her. He got his revenge, so he should have been satisfied.

"...why the FUCK would you do that?! Do you have any common sense at all?! I understand you're pissed, but do you realize that if you had let me on that boat, you would never have had to see me again?! You fucking stupid prick! I hope you burn in hell!"Koi expected a reply like this, however before he could respond with something just as bitchy and insulting the girl ran away. It Appeared that she was crying for some reason. Is it really that big of a deal? It's not like there won't be another one. The emense anger he had toward the girl had gone away after Koi had seen her run off like that. God dammit now I'm the bitch. Koi couldn't help bu feel sorry for her, even though he couldn't understand why she would be so upsetorbsr missing a boat.
Koi noticed her run behind a building to get away from him. He didn't want to piss her off anymore but he also didn't want her to think he was a Jack ass...even if he was acting like it. He slowly walked up the same street the girl went up, acting suspicious and showing some confusion. He came to te corner the girl had turned and waited There for a second I really hope this doesn't piss her off more.
He walked around the corner wih his tail between his legs, he wasn't going to immediatelty appolegize as he was more interested in find out why she wanted to leave the Norhern Water Tribe so badly. When he turned the corner he saw the girl curled up in a ball leaning against the side of the building, she was weeping but he could also sense some anger coming from her. Against his better judgemnt he ignored this sense of anger and approached her. Wih a curious, appolgetic, but chearful tone he said "Hey girly, why are you so upset? Maybe some compasion will help her be more curtious towards Koi.

His words surprised Jia Daiyu. She didn't recognize the voice at first, seeing as how the only time she ever talked to the man, he had an angry tone. This was...compassionate? Cheerful? How strange.
She didn't retreat her face from her arms, because she refused to let anyone see her like this. She was strong. And besides, it was obvious that the only reason he was being nice to her was because he had saw her crying. Jia thought that she had, for sure, made sure he had not seen. But this didn't matter, she would shrug it off soon.
She wiped the tears from her eyes, and the lingering tears along her cheeks. She was just about to look up at the man when she caught sight of the snow. The snow. It reminded her that she was stuck in this fucking city longer. Who knows how longer. It made her angry.
She huffed and stood up quickly. She looked up at the man, uncaring that her face was probably all red from crying, and her hair windblown and messed up. She was just tired of looking at his face; too much for one day. She didn't want to fight anymore. She just wanted to leave, but it seemed that option was out for a while.
She sighed and wiped the anger from her face. Of course it was his fault, but the fighting would never end if they started it. That was too tiresome. "So, all of a sudden, you care? Just...leave me alone." She turned her body around, and walked around the other side of the building. She zipped up her coat all the way to the top, so she could hide her face in it as she walked. She probably looked like hell right now. Just like this place. Literal hell.
[[Sorry for the short reply. It's late, and I'm tired. I only did this because you asked me to. xD And plus, I hadn't had any time over the weekend, so I guessed I owed you.]]

Koi stood there answer less and confused for several moments. She still hid in her knees crying for several moments, and it seemed that every time she looked up, or saw snow, she began to cry again. Koi could not figure out why she would be so upset. Its not like that's the only boat going to the Burning Legion he thought as he continued to stand there next to her.
He was hoping that the reason she wasn't answering was because she to was trying to show some compasion, but that didn't exacty happen. She popped her head up, trying to ignore whatever it was that made her re-upset, whiped her tears and said "So, all of a sudden, you care? Just...leave me alone." But before Koi could say anything, she ran off behind the next building.
Koi couldn't help but feel sorry for her still, even though she was still as bitchy as usual. Why would she cry so much over missing a boat? What is so wrong with the Norhern Wate Tribe? Koi couldn't help but be interested in finding out what upset her so much. He ran around the corner after her, still skeptical and confused. The girl was back in her ball, just in a different place. "You can't really expect me to be nice to you upon first impression when you bash my face into the ground. But come on, it's not like there won't be more boats in the future."

Jia Daiyu looked up at the man. She was getting tired of this. She wanted to get AWAY from him, but he was like a little lost puppy. Always coming back. Didn't realize a punch was like a imprint to him. She sighed as she stood up. She turned away from him, and walked back into the main streets. She had wiped all the tears, although she still looked like a mess. Her eyes were all red and puffy, and her hair all messy. She didn't care anymore. She figured she might be able to lose him in the crowd.
When she had turned the corner onto the street, and she was out of sight from him, she put the hood of her jacket over her head. It wasn't unusual to see hoods up around here. The natives may be used to the cold, but it didn't mean they DIDN'T get cold. Besides, they were near the port where many foreigns were. They were always cold. She giggled lightly as she passed a few people shivering(earthbenders, by the looks of the boat that they were near).
She moved swiftly through the crowd, making sure not to bring attention to herself. Was it stupid for her to be so mad at the man for just asking her what was wrong? No. But she wasn't a normal person, and she was easily angered. Should she be angry for what he had done? Yes. He was stupid. But so was she.
All the thoughts running through her mind gave her a headache. She figured she had left enough distance between her and the man, although she was scared to look back. Her bright blue eyes were very noticeable, even among all these people. In these situations, it was definitely a curse to have such vibrant-colored eyes.
She leaned her back against a building. She let the people pass her, smiling gently at the ones who smiled at her. God, people were so annoying. She wove her way around the streets, trying to find a way to nurse her headache. But then she remembered.
The tea shop.
The sweet, sweet fragrance of the tea shop. Oh, she wasn't so wound up now. It would surely help her headache. She took the risk of taking a small glance around here, looking for any trace of that man. There was none. Okay, it was stupid to go back to the 'scene of the crime', but what were the chances he was going to go back there? She quickly moved through the sea of people back in the direction of the tea shop, the aroma growing stronger with each step.

Koi didn't even receive an answer. This girl must really hate me, and I'm suppose to be the victim! The girl just simply ran off again, Koi couldn't even register any body language off of her to get an answer. This time, however, she walked off with no more tears on her face, and she walked off into a street so she was obviously OK enough to be seen in public. It was a busy street, and she was moving fast. Koi's interests still fueled him to go after her, but it would simply be too impractical in such a big crowd, especially where all the foreign traders have docked.
Koi watched as she walked off and did not follow. Instead he waited several moments and gathered his thoughts. She isn't really worth pursuing anyway, she obviously hated everything about Koi, and she did not want to talk to him. But friggin' seriously! Why would she be so upset? Maybe she's bipolar or something. It wasn't that big of a deal anymore. She was gone, he was never going to see her again. Thats the end of it.
Koi waited to make sure she got a fair distance away from him. Then he started down the street headed to the dock; where he had left his boat. There wasn't much else to do in the city any more, but maybe something new will happen to him. This city already provided him with one adventure, maybe more will come his way. He undocked the boat and started back into the maze of streets the tribe was built around. This time, he was in search for a good marketplace to get some food and supplies to restock his boat. If nothing new had happened to him in a few days, he would take off. But a trainer, or a bounty, or anything of the sort would definitely extend his stay.
It didn't take long for Koi to find a sufficient marketplace. After all, the city is a giant trading center. There'll definitely be lots of stuff to buy here. The first item on his list was food. At the start of the marketplace Koi found a place for his boat. He docked and took off down the street there. Looking for food. He came across a vegetable and meat market very quickly and bought whatever rations he thought he would need. After that he continued down the marketplace, stumbling upon the aroma of that tea shop again. Oh shit, am I in that marketplace again? Well why not stop for a cup, there was good tea here anyways. He walked in with his meat and vegetables in a bag in his hand. He stopped at the entrance to breathe in the aroma one more time. While doing so he panned his eyes across the tea shop, studying its occupants. Of course. Just my fucking luck. It was that girl again, the girl that had punched him down in the very place he was walking to once again. So it all starts again. He still felt sympathetic toward her, but he began to grow careless of the situation. Koi quietly walked up to the counter and order his cup of tea. He wanted to sit down somewhere he could see her, but she couldn't see him. So he found the corner table and walked to it. Cup of tea in one hand, meat and vegetable in the other.
He sat down and quietly drank his tea. Unfortunately his stealthiness did not work for very long. Some other jack ass spilled his tea all over the floor and made a hug ruckus right next to him. It would be a miracle if she didn't notice him in the corner watching him. Fuck. I'm a stalker now. Clumsy ass idiot.

Jia Daiyu was sitting at the end of the counter, trying to stay away from all the people. She had decided to get a cup of tea, even if she couldn't pay for it. She would do what she always did. She would run out without paying. It was something she had gotten so used to, the guilt just disappeared after a while.
She heard some noise behind her, and although she tried to ignore it, her curiosity had her turning around. When she did, she saw him. That man who kept following her. She came in here to SPECIFICALLY get away from him. "Oh my god. Is he following me?!" She purposely ignored him. She didn't want to fight anymore; she was getting tired of it. Instead of making a scene, like she normally would, she turned her head forward, ignoring him.
Now that she knew he was there, she could feel his eyes on her, and it made her angry. She needed a way to get revenge. Not only for stalking her all the way here, but for staring at her. She didn't like it when people stared at her. Made her feel like more of a freak than she knew she already was. Not something she would admit to other people, but something she would gladly admit to herself.
At that moment, one of the people behind the counter walked up to her and asked her if she needed anything. Such as a refill. She looked down at her empty cup, and nodded. It didn't matter how much tea she drank, she was just going to leave anyways.
But then, it hit her. The revenge idea. Of course, it wasn't something as devious as she would normally think of. But maybe it would tell him to leave her alone. Jia motioned for the waiter to come back. As he did, she smiled brightly and politely spoke to him. "You see that man behind me? The one at the table with the blonde hair? Yes, that one. The two cups of tea that I ordered, I would like if you charged it to him please. Oh, and don't be afraid to tell him I told you to do that. I don't think he'll mind one bit."
Yeah, he was going to mind. And the thought of his expression when he would soon find out made her giggle. Like she said, it wasn't as devious as normal, but she didn't want to start a giant fight right back up. How annoying would that be?

The man that had so foolishly tripped in front of him was very apologetic, he quickly cleaned up and walked along. Fucking fat ass gave me away!. Koi was not sympathetic toward him in anyway. The girl sitting at the counter turned around and noticed him, she was surely surprised and annoyed but her actions did not clearly depict that emotion. Koi didn't want to leave yet, he actually had the urge to get to know her. He figured there had got to be some good in this chick, she can't just be pure bitch.
Koi continued to sit there as the girl ordered another glass of tea, he wasn't sure whether he should go up and talk to her, or just sit back and wait for something to happen. Thankfully, something happened. A few minutes later the waiter came up to Koi. "Girl at the counter said you wouldn't mind this." The waiter placed a piece of parchment on his table. It was the bill for his drinks, and the girl's drinks. What. A. Bitch. But Koi had a plan. He now had an excuse to go take the bar stool next to the girl.
Koi walked up to the stool next to her and sat down with the piece of paper in hand, but ignoring it like it was unimportant. "So, my name is Koi. Is this seat taken?" He had already sat down so her answer wouldn't foil the plan. "Its quite the coincidence meeting you here again, don't you think." He just wanted to start a conversation to try to spark a conversation between them and see if this girl has any compassion in her bitchy soul, which Koi was sure she did.
