Appearance;
Nikkou Illumi is generally described to look like a "firebending vampire", which is complimented by his lean build and naturally clean-cut appearance. He is most noticeably characterize by his porcelain olive skin that covers a well kept tone body, and ruby red eyes. Ones that glisten in the light created by flames much like the actual crystals do. His hair is colored, as if by a brush, to be as black as coal. Always looking like he had just crawled out of bed (messy and shaggy). The bang usually free falling over Nikkou's forehead, but are tamed, for the most part, so they don't obstruct his eye sight. As for his face he has slim eyebrows, a slightly crooked nose, slightly elongated canines and a faint scar above the left side of his upper lip.

As for piercings and tattoos, Nikkou has the symbol of the old fire nation on his black, with the words "Fire Raises From Embers" written below it in a ink that makes it look like burning charcoal. Other than that he has no other tattoos, but does as three ruby studs running up the arch of his left ear.

• Rubies - Growing up I was always told my eyes looked like these gems. I've become obsessed with collecting them and watching them sparkle in the light of my firebending.
  
• The Fire Nation - When I was a kid, all I ever heard about was how great the Fire Nation was, and how it was my true home. I want to return home... no matter what the stakes.
  
• Music - Whenever I hear the beats of the drum or notes of a note or whatever. It feels like the music is moving through me. Like I should be dancing with my firebending, or something.
  
• Avoiding conflict - I would prefer it if everyone kept a cool level head. Why not just settle fights with a coin toss, or a friendly game of Rock-Paper-Scissors?
  
• Chocolate - Sometimes, I like to melt the chocolate and let it pour into my mouth.
  
• Pretty girls - Did you know I've never had a girlfriend? Like it... it's a lonely life....

• Senseless violence - I know it's strange, a refuge from the Fire Nation whose a pacifist? But, it's just how I am. Sorry about your luck.
  
• Uncontrolled firebending - Firebending is a weapon, not a tool. Our people were burned to death by our scared abilities.... It's something used to murdered innocent people.
  
• The Burning Legion - Their nothing more than villainous traitors! They killed their own people and robbed me of my family... I will see them burn... I swear it.
  
• Loud people - For someone as level headed as me. There is nothing more annoying than someone who won't shut-up and are screaming at the top of their lungs.
  
• Winter - More like anything cold in general. I rather sweat than feel like I'm frozen shaking in my boots.
  
• Clowns - Why do people think it's funny to run around, looking like a creeper, and scare people. I just can't handle it. It's scares me.
  

Overall Personality;
Prior to the Burning Legion's attack and the murder of his parents, Nikkou was the stereotypical spoiled brat and bad boy. He was unimaginably rich, and let his family's wealth go to his head. He was also laid back, selfish, a manipulator, and didn't care about whose who got hurt for his actions. He underwent a rapid change in his personality when his father and mother sacrificed themselves, so that Nikkou could survive. After he became more subdued, depressed and retreated into a shell. Taking years to heal and inspire himself to keep moving.

Now Nikkou is normally an extremely mature and calm individual, a state that is slightly at odds with his somewhat vampire appearance. Despite first impressions, he is usually the first to take responsibility, and step into the role of leader out of his group of friends. Tending to use this position to avoid violence. Although, Nikkou is not arrogant, seen how he will concede leadership to anyone of a higher rank or who processes more experience than his does. This all makes him seem very virtuous, and he is. Preferring to settle any arguments the most peaceful way possible. With his personal favorite being a harmless coin toss, or a game of rock-paper-scissors.

Nikkou has also stated stated that he does not like the fact that his elemental bending is fire. Unable to see it has anything other than a tool of mass destruction, and something meant to "reap life itself." He greatly fears his firebending's power. Only wishing to master it, for the most part, so he can avoid losing control and harming innocent bystanders. Choosing to live by the philosophy, "Flames of rage burn the whole world down".

However, Nikkuo is not without his own darker traits. When he does actually engage in conflict, he becomes a darker person and seeks to instill fear in his enemies while in battle. Only to show them that their thirst for blood has led to their own suffering. He is also know to become rather grim, solitary and definitely a more negatively emotional character after battles, and/or tragic events. This leads to his "fatal flaw", grudges. This can lead to not wanting help or not asking to be saved in deadly situations because he doesn't like someone. Often becoming angry at those who had betrayed his trust or wronged him in some way.

Due to his loyalties to the Fire nation refuge, the biggest and most hated targets of his grudges is The Burning Legion.

history;Coming into the world kicking and screaming, a child was born during the summer on August 18th in the age 413. His mother had been in labor for hours, with his father hopefully clutching her hand the whole way through. Then finally after four pain riddled hours the baby was pulled out from his mother womb and quickly rinsed off of her blood. The entire time crying his little heart, while his arms and legs trash about, out for the warmth of his parents embrace. After he had been cleaned, after giving the nurse a headache, he was carefully warped in a blanket and handed over to his mother. It was then that his parents decided what they would name him. Nikkou. Nikkou Illumi.

From an early age, Nikkou had been treated very differently than other children, because he had been lucky enough to have been brought into the world by parents who had close ties to the Firelord. His father had been one of the Ruler's priest, and his mother was the cousin of the Queen. They both held high political power, but only his father had chosen to stay rooted in his profession. Being the religious man that he was Illumi Senior would often stay at the temples for days, even weeks, on end making his presence in Nikkou life almost non-existent. However, he had his mother. Who had given up her affairs in politics to stay at home and raise her son. Thus many of Nikkou's earliest memories were with his mother.

As Nikkou peacefully grew through his baby years, and his time as a toddler the gap between him and his father continued to grow. Meaning that by the time the boy was six years old he had already forgotten the touch of his father's affection. This of course was because Nikkou's father had been afraid that his son was born a non-bender due to his strangely colored eyes, and each year that passed that Nikkou showed no ability in only succeed in proving his fear correct. Then during the month approaching his seventh birthday, a miracle happened.

It happened on one of the few nights his father was at home, and demanded a peaceful family dinner. Nikkou had been tasked with lighting the candle on the table and handed matches. Eager to please his father the young boy went to work. Only to find himself unable to light the match. Embarrassed till the point his ear turn red, he kept hitting the flint trying to light it. Then in his frustration he scarped the match as hard as could and succeeded in lighting it, but accidentally made the flame launch forward and lit his mother's curtain aflame. To his both his parents horror and enjoyment their son as finally awaken his slumbering firebending.

Quickly the boy gained his father's approval, and was taken under his father's wing to become a fire priest just like him. Nikkou had never been so excited, and joyful in his entire life. Finally his father had acknowledge him. Seeing him worthy enough to call his son. never wanting to lose that feeling was what drove Nikkou to follow in his father footstep and do whatever pleased him. However, around the time Nikkou grew into his teenage years his views changed. He no longer craved his father's appraisal, but wanted to see him hurt. This was from the sudden realization that up until Nikkou first firebender he always felt ignore by his father.

So, Nikkou rebelled out, often getting into trouble and causing havoc for their community. Never feeling punishment because he knew his family would bail him out, slap him on his wrist and let him go back to whatever he please. This later grew into him getting into argument with his father until his mother stepped in and pleaded for both of them to stop. Unable to fight with the one person he truly felt accepted by, Nikkou would often leave and go walk around town to clear his own. Then everything changed when the Burning Legion attacked.

The attack came so suddenly that Nikkou felt as if the ground had been pulled under his feet. Confused and scared he quickly ran toward his home, but before he made it he was attack. Knocked back by a fireball that exploded in-front of him Nikkou hit his head on his landing. Dazed and confused, the boy barely registered that his parent had gone out looking for him and arrived in time to protect him. They shouted at him to run away, and get on the boat that they were suppose to sneak away on. Still dazed, he picked himself up and ran. Ran as fast as he could as he heard his parents scream in agony as they were burned to death.

Thanks to his parents sacrifice Nikkou safely made it to the boat and was one of the few to make it away from the fallen Fire Nation. Now, nineteen Nikkou has gone through a huge personality change and lives on the Fire Nation Refuge. Waiting for that day they will reclaim their home.
